Ben Green Swiss Yarn Non-Iron Shirts - Laundry Instructions

• Wash at 40 degrees or less using a normal washing powder/capsule/liquid.
• Do NOT use fabric softener or combined wash/softener products.
• Do NOT use bleaches or other oxygen bleaching products
  
• Reduce spin speed and time to minimum for best results
• Remove shirt from washing machine whilst still wet/damp
• To preserve the non-iron qualities, do NOT tumble dry.
  
• Hang to dry (see below)
  

Please follow the remaining instructions, as they will make a considerable difference to the end result.

Whilst still wet, give the shirt a good shake to remove any folds and hang the shirt on a hanger (preferably a shaped plastic jacket hanger). Fasten all the buttons including the top button.  Fold the collar down as normal, paying particular attention to how it sits at the front.  Pull the rest of the shirt into shape, ensuring that the front placket is flat.  With the palm of your hands, smooth out the body and sleeves.  Leave the shirt to dry naturally - do not be tempted to place over a radiator or in the airing cupboard.  The shirt will quickly dry and the creases will miraculously disappear, and the shirt will be ready to wear.

 What to expect from a Non-Iron Shirt

"Non-Iron" is a term used by many shirt makers to describe the properties of the fabric.  It is a personal judgement whether shirts with this description are completely non-iron. 

If you like to have a very crisp finish to your shirts, then you should expect to have to finish with an iron.  Some customers find that non-iron shirts do benefit from a quick press - a job that is made rapid and easy due to the properties of the fabric, however,  you will find that the shirts wrinkle less in wear than standard cotton shirts.
